About this tool: Merge PDF
Combine PDFs in the order you choose, select pages from each file and save one document. Processed on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
A report arrives as several attachments, the scanned pages are in the wrong order, or an application needs only part of a document. Preparing one clean PDF is easier when you can see the pages before exporting, instead of finding a missing or sideways page after you send it.
How can I change the order and include only certain pages?
Pages are copied without rasterization; use Organize PDF to reorder pages within a document.
- Pages to include (1–3, 5)
- Name A–Z
- Reverse order
- Bookmark each file
- Blank page between files
- Make all pages the same size (A4 / Letter). Fit and center each page without stretching or cropping.
Before you start
Keep the original file. Work on an exported copy, especially with signed forms or important documents. Check that the file opens and that the pages you need are present. A password-protected PDF may ask for its existing password; that password is not stored.
Check the exported result
Open the downloaded file before sharing it. Check the page count, order, orientation and any small text. Look at the first and last pages as well as the page you edited. For an upload limit, check the actual saved file size rather than relying only on an estimate.
Scans, text and signatures
A scanned PDF is a collection of page images even when it looks like a normal document. Image conversion does not automatically recognize text. Search-based redaction needs selectable text; scan images require manual boxes. Editing a document may invalidate existing digital signatures.
Local processing and shared devices
Files, text, edits and results are processed on your device and kept only in the open page. They are not uploaded for processing. Reloading or closing the page clears the workspace. Files you download to your device remain there until you delete them.
Merge PDF allows you to combine multiple PDF documents into a single file directly in your browser. Perfect for organizing invoices, reports, or ebook chapters into one cohesive document.
If you have a large document that needs to be broken down instead, use our Split PDF tool. For rearranging pages within a single file, try Organize PDF.
