About this tool: Crop PDF

Crop PDF margins in points (1/72 inch). Processed on your device. Nothing is uploaded.

A report for a client or for printing often needs consistent numbering, a visible draft mark or cleaner margins. A good-looking preview is the starting point: the exported document still needs the right page range, readable text and enough space at the edges.

Does cropping permanently delete content outside the page?

Cropping changes the visible page area and does not remove hidden content; use redaction for that.

Before you start

Keep the original file. Work on an exported copy, especially with signed forms or important documents. Check that the file opens and that the pages you need are present. A password-protected PDF may ask for its existing password; that password is not stored.

Check the exported result

Open the downloaded file before sharing it. Check the page count, order, orientation and any small text. Look at the first and last pages as well as the page you edited. For an upload limit, check the actual saved file size rather than relying only on an estimate.

Scans, text and signatures

A scanned PDF is a collection of page images even when it looks like a normal document. Image conversion does not automatically recognize text. Search-based redaction needs selectable text; scan images require manual boxes. Editing a document may invalidate existing digital signatures.

Local processing and shared devices

Files, text, edits and results are processed on your device and kept only in the open page. They are not uploaded for processing. Reloading or closing the page clears the workspace. Files you download to your device remain there until you delete them.

Crop PDF allows you to trim white margins or focus on specific content within a page. Useful for preparing documents for printing on different paper sizes.
